I think I can understand having an attraction for someone of the same sex, but I would like to know if the anus in gay males becomes ‘aroused’ as the female vagina does.

Well you could try it and find out. Or you could decide that it would be pretty hard for someone to tell considering theyd have to a fully functional vagina and still be a ‘man’

If you mean ‘aroused’ as in lubricating, I don’t think so. However, gay and straight men alike enjoy anal penetration. They’ve got a prostate gland, which helps it feel good.

Your question actually made me stop and think. I like questions like that. Thank you. To respond: I am an older gay male in an 11-year relationship (with the same person). He is a confirmed ‘top,’ and I am a confirmed ‘bottom.’ Although our relationship is very sexual, it is based primarily on trust and friendship. That said, if by ‘arousal’ you mean does the anus swell with blood and become extra sensitive, much like a woman’s vagina, I would have to say, ‘Yes.’ I only have my experiences and opinions to base this on, but I have noticed that if for some reason during sex we have to stop and separate, re-entry is much more sensitive and tighter. Yes, it makes me have to concentrate on relaxing just a bit more. If by arousal you mean do I and any other men experience sexual pleasure from anal sex, I would still have to say, ‘Yes.’ The physical sensation of the prostate gland being massaged (by my partner) is highly enjoyable.

As far as I know, this does not happen. The anus is not a reproductive organ, so it does not respond as a reproductive organ would. Generally, gay men (as well as heterosexual couples who engage in anal intercourse) make use of lubricants in lieu of any kind of natural arousal.

I’m curious when you say ‘he is a confirmed top and I am a confirmed bottom,’ what exactly does that mean? I would seriously like to know.
