AlmaParticipantCan anyone address the issue of food addiction? I’m familiar with bulimia and anexoria, but this seems to be the reverse. I’m working with a young man that absolutely must have something to eat every hour or he almost has a panic attack. He’s not overweight; rather he works out frequently so that he can eat whenever he wants. Every hour he says he’s ‘starving’ and eats a sandwich or fruit and always has large meals. If you take him to an ‘all you can eat’ place he just goes crazy. His metabolism is not that high and his blood sugar is normal. He had a decent childhood and doesnt appear any more dysfunctional than the rest of us, but its an issue that has cost him more than one date. The girls run when they see how much he eats. He’s a great kid, but very lonely. Any suggestions? I try to keep him occupied but every hour he has to stop and eat. I’m afraid the supervisor is getting ready to fire him.
