Sarah28129ParticipantDo you think that the older a person is the more mature he/she is? I am in my low 30’s and I appear to look younger than my age; therefore, sometimes people that are older than me tell me that I am acting immature because I like to act silly sometimes. ShirleyAveryParticipantI’m 58 and believe me, there are immature people of all ages, even over 70! Immature behavior is usually selfish, marked by impulsive actions that may harm or offend others. Example – teenagers riding around in the handicapped motorized carts in Walmart just for kicks. A disabled person may need that cart! Acting silly, on the other hand, is a wonderful youthful thing in the right context, e.g., when playing with kids or joking around with friends. In work situations, there may be a time and place for silliness, during breaks or lunch, but some employers want more serious behavior, depending on your profession.
