I have a lot of friends of all different types. We get along pretty great and have fun discussing alot of issues. However, one thing that I notice is a general disinterest regarding African American history and issues. The odd thing is that they love AA music and they seem to like me but when I mention certain movies or certain causes that are of concern to the African American community, it is almost trendy for them to make a joke or change the subject. I have always wondered if it is disinterest or just simply not knowing what to say?
