I am a black woman who is fairly slender and whose derriere is very slim. It seems as if most black men are not attracted to me, while most white men are fine and actually prefer a slimmer woman and definitely a slimmer derriere. Does anyone know why this is so? Is it a cultural difference and why?

Yes, yes, it is a cultural thing. I am an African, and most (not all) of the men appreciate a woman who has some ‘meat on her bones.’ It seems that black men find the derriere to be very enticing and intriguing. White people, on the other hand, are into the ‘Barbie image,’ and they prefer women who are slender, with a small booty. I believe it is really a cultural/hereditary thing.

On average, white women are slimmer, while black women are more curvy and voluptuous. I believe it’s what the men of different cultural groups are used to. This can be seen for generations. In Africa, healthy women are desired; it’s a sign of wealth and happiness. Don’t forget, Europeans were the people who invented corsets, to keep white women skinny. I, for one, love black women how they are. Slim or curvy, something about the sisters just attracts me.

I think there are cultural differences that cause different attractions. White men have always had the petite Victorian ideal of a woman, and that’s what we are told is the epitome of beauty. Just look at white inventions like corsets. Black men and African culture in general have always looked toward a larger, more ‘healthy’ ideal. In Africa, the larger a woman is, the more it shows her wealth, therefore being more desirable. Then there’s the obvious physical predeterminations that cause white women to be smaller and more thin, while black women are more voluptuous and curvy. But I’ll tell you one thing, I am one white man who digs black women, skinny or curvy. I don’t know what it is, but I love the sensuality of nubian princesses.

You’re generally right: most white men prefer smaller women. Look who white people find attractive: Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, etc. However, there are many white men, myself included, who prefer more voluptuous women. Blacks, Latinas, etc. are more likely to have that body type. I suppose there may be some truth that some white men are attracted to women of color but prefer them to have a “white” figure.

I’m a 20-year-old white woman, mixed with Native American, but I look white. I’m fair-skinned, light-haired and hazel-eyed.Usually black women are more heavyset and white women are usually thinner, but it’s not our fault. Asian women are really small and have no curves whatsoever. Asian women don’t have naturally big hips or big breasts. Being a white woman, I look at my mom and grandmother, and my mom is big on top but smaall on the bottom. My dad’s mom has really big hips and a small waist and big breasts, big butt. My body resembles my dad’s mom’s, although many people think I’m skinny because I hide my figure by wearing baggy clothes. I actually lost weight because my ex (who was Asian-Vietnamese) said I was ‘fat’ because of my big hips. It made me feel bad, and he was skinner than crap! But he’s used to the thin-as-a-rail ‘Asian’ woman. I’m glad I have curves. My current boyfriend, who’s Latino/Mexican, thinks I’m just right. I weigh about 120 1bs. But not all white women are skinny; a lot of us are curvy and voluptuous. So don’t stereotype the whole race.

i have pretty much the same frame as you do…and white guys don’t like it. my last boyfriend told me i had the perfect body…but i needed to loose my hips.most black men tell me i shouldn’t lose a pound. i agree with them. christina aguilara and all the others are way too skinny and they look kind of unhealthy. i don’t understand why so many men find the ‘barbie doll’ look so attractive.

i just wanna write something which happened to me last night. i was chatting to my friend and asked if he would ever have a sexual relationship with me. Now he is asian, i am mixed race (black/white). He said that when he 1st met me, he would have because he preferred me slimmer I was a petite 112lbs 5’4).He said b4 i had proportions which made him unable to breath. He said my body LOOKED Vibrant. Now it simply doesnt. I had an eating disorder when he 1st was attracted to me. I was considered underweight and was living on porridge, crackers and yogurts. Now im healthy 132lbs. According to him i dont look vibrant. Now im more shapely, he would not sleep wth me. However, i have never in my life had so much attention from black men..and im definately NOT complaining. My white frinds with no booty attract white guys, but th white friends with big butts also get swarmed by black me.
