Maybe someone here can explain this to me. Why do employers perform credit checks prior to hiring people? How heavily does that weigh into the hiring process? I ask because I am looking for a job and have outstanding medical bills. I mean, I can’t pay those bills unless I’m making money, and I can’t make money without a job, thus it is counter productive to base my hire-ability on debt…I’m sure you see the vicious cycle here…
