Why do white people think they are clean if they wash their hair every day, even if they don’t wash their bodies every day?

Who are these white people that wash their hair daily but do not bathe daily? I’ve never heard of anything like this. I know some people (mostly women) bathe daily but do not wash their hair daily, because they don’t want to have to style it. People who wear short hair typically do both daily. Personally I think going around with an oily scalp would be gross and irritating. And people who do not bathe daily, unless they are extremely inactive or live in a very cold climate, are just not clean. They may not smell themselves but others around them do, and they get talked about behind their backs. Also, different races having distinctive ‘essential’ body odors (i.e., not produced by cosmetics, diet, etc.) is too well known to be denied out of hand by advocates of ‘political correctness’. Daily bathing keeps these odors to a minimum. Past generations didn’t have the abundant water and soap available. We do, and I think people should use it. If they choose not to, they become objects of speculation.

What make you think whites do not shower everyday. I don’t know any whites who don’t shower any day. Black people are the ones who wash their hair every two weeks, which is just nasty, you walk around with dirty smelling scalp and hair for two weeks. Your the ones who need a shower.

In my experience, white people tend to wash far more frequently than black people, so I really don’t know what you’re talking about. I certainly don’t feel clean unless I’ve washed my entire body thoroughly, but my boyfriend (who’s black) feels clean if he’s splashed some water on his face.

I can only speak for myself, but I do wash my body every day, unless I’m travelling and don’t have access to a shower, or don’t have access to hot water (I’ve travelled a bit in developing world). In those situations, I will wash my hair if possible, but I won’t consider myself to be ‘clean.’ I’ll feel less gross as my hair will not be oily and my scalp will not start to itch. For me, it’s a comfort issue and certainly not a matter of thinking that I’m clean bc my hair is washed. Also, I’m more presentable if my hair has been washed and I’ll feel better about how I look.

I was quite puzzled by this question. Most white people that I have known wash both their bodies and their hair every day – usually both in the same shower! And if they go to a gym or work out some other place they wash both all over again! Do you know some dirty white people? There are some, of course, as there are dirty people in every race.

I’ve never heard that either. I know more people who bathe daily, but don’t wash their hair daily. I do both, by the way. I don’t think it would make them clean either.

White people do not just wash their hair. We was our entire body. But sometimes (ex. in winter here in Finland, because it`s so cold outside and wet hair would freeze or when u know u excersice later that day) we just was our body. But usually I wash my whole body (inc. hair) at least a once a day.
