In Judaism, circumcision of males is considered to be part of their covenant with God (Genesis 17:10-11). Considering this, do Jewish people ever think that God is overly interested with baby boys’ penises and therefore is a pedophile? Or that he is a homosexual (assuming God is a male)?

According to Jewish tradition, God is not a limited, corporeal being. Therefore ‘He’ cannot be a pedophile, or a homosexual. According to Jewish tradition, God is loving, therefore He wouldn’t be a pedophile, and He doesn’t have hormones, therefore He wouldn’t have sexual desire for males or for females. If you believe that the Bible was not God-inspired, then maybe the people who wrote it were pedophiles, or homosexuals. Or maybe scared of sex. Or many other possibilities.

Your very question maybe offensive in its style to many God-Conscious folk. As both in Islam and Judaism, God is viewed as not only a genderless being, but whom is not made out of any material and is completely incomparable to anything that exists. Additionally in Islam, God Almighty is outside of the bounds and limitations of time and space and is distinctly unique and outside of creation, thus such attributions such as in your question seem silly yet offensive to people who know and understand. It seems to me circumcision is practices amongst all Amrahamic faiths, even some Christian sects. The main reason people obey the ruling is because they believe (in Islam this ‘certainty’ needs to come with knowledge and intellect) it is an order from their Creator, and Creator of all beings knows best. When it comes to our current day’s ‘Advanced’ society, as probably every society considered themselves to be on their parcel in time, there are scientific debate upon the medical benefits about circumcision. It is well known that circumcision is more Hygenic, especially in places where access to water and utilities are scarce, Also as seen on Time Magazine’s report, the Muslim portion of Africa seems to have less cases of AIDS , that is now being correlated more with the fact that they are circumcised while the other portion is not, while the other considered factor was their higher sexual morals which is also a factor.

I can tell by your other questions that you are not meaning to be offensive. By your logic, however, Catholicism, which seems to dwell on the evils of masturbation, premarital sex and even impure thoughts would imply a God that’s obsessed with sex. Though Catholics tend to elevate celibacy as the ultimate sacrifice, look at all the pediphile priests. You can’t suppress sexuality and remain healthy. Jews, in fact, have a much healthier attitude toward sex in general. We don’t separate the spirit from the flesh as Christians do. We believe God created us as physical beings and sex for pleasure as well as procreation. Just Curious
