JenParticipantWhy does our country proclaim that all are races, creeds, etc are equal yet they do not separate church and state in many instances? It is especially apparent when there is a Republican in office- God is mentioned quite often. What about those who don’t believe in ‘God’?

BenClerkParticipantGod is used as a campaign boost as much as anything, they may say they are going to do “God’s will” on this or not either way they are going to do what they are going to do. Separation of Church and State doesn’t mean they have nothing to do with each other it only means that as a politician you can’t say one religion is better than another and as a church leader you can’t say that one politician is better. You have to classify that you think this person is right, your religion doesn’t: or that you think this religion is right, your campaign doesn’t. Life is in knowledge.
