S-WestParticipantIs church a big thing in other countries? Do a lot of people believe in God outside the United States?

Priscilla30294ParticipantIn Australia, we have no official religion. And the mainsteam churches are in decline. The Pentecostal churches are growing, though, which I see as a worrying sign.

JeromeParticipantGod is ‘believed in’ all over the world. This ‘blaspheme of God’ is common for all Mortals. Church (organized structure) is an ‘educational’ physicality infested to indoctrinate the mind in a ‘Centralized Power’ belief(World Dictatorship), comprising the ‘believers’ (Hypnotized) in it. Through the terrorism of Heaven and Hell belief it’s supported and propagated by Mortal man’s inner egotistical state of one knows all: Fanatical in one’s knowledge. This pits man against man in political groups made up of individuals, seeking the nature the individual ‘believes in’; god (Hierarchy), an all-powerful, all mighty, all knowing … (Ego trip – which needs multitudes of underlings to support it). “Man” is “practice” of the eternal (NOW) feelings of another soul. CHURCH is Awareness that puts you in the place of knowing. Awareness is strength of character, which is recognizing who you are, believing in what you think of yourself (Faith) and where you are going (believing). Knowing is believing and believing is the Truth of our ‘BEing’. Thus Church is you, what you are learning; knowing – Learning is Love that goes on through eternity – all is love nothing more. God is Spirit, NOW, I AM I, Ever-present. Belief is ‘past descriptions’ defined by and held by the mind/man. A “believer” is one who’s mind, holding to a belief, ascends out of the ‘past’ (bottomless pit), which is constantly receding from NOW. Thus belief in god is blaspheme (misuse/abuse) of God.

Fallert21778ParticipantI would be interested in other responses since I have not been outside of the United States. I would assume that many people believe in God. With missionaries and others going to foreign countries to teach and spread his word I believe that many people believe in God. Also, there is the media that spreads Gods word.

Dan27162ParticipantIn the 3rd world, it’s spreading like wildfire. Christianity is the fastest growing religion in the world. The western world is somewhat of a mixed bag. It seems that here in L.A. and other similar places, churchgoing (so to speak) is nearly becoming marginalized. Yet in places like Brazil, east Africa, Thailand, and countless other locales, churches are sprouting up like weeds. At one point the church in China numbered somewhere between 50 and 100 million.

Patrick WoodParticipantThe Church is a big thing in a lot of countries. Canada is a prime example. There is an over-whelmingly Christian influence in Canadian laws and cultural practices. Germany is also very religious. In Germany, from my knowledge, the Christian party has even been elected. Other forms of religious orthodoxy can be found in many locations around the world.
