Jas31207ParticipantGrowing up in Queens, N.Y., it was a ‘requirement’ that you knew how to play chess. I wonder : Do white people believe blacks don’t play chess, since the media only shows blacks in physical activities?

DeLunatic KingParticipantI have seen some racism but luckly I was born and raised where my minority (Hispanic) is a majority. The chess club I play in is mostly all Caucasian with the exception of two other Hispanics. I can say that us three have all taken a seat at top of the class once or twice but we are still in awe of people like Maurice Ashley, ect… I don’t believe that in the chess world there is much racism, but I do believe that life is not fair and when ever a minority rises there will be someone to put it down. http://www.DeLunatic.com
