Why are there so many Chinese restaurants in black neighborhoods? It seems as if there’s one in every corner where I live at, yet there are no other types of Asian resturants available. In fact, a Thai place had opened up but went out of business because everybody was going to the Chinese restaurant across the street! I mean, Chinese food is as popular as soul food, which is confusing to me. With the tensions between Asians and blacks, how did blacks even acquire a taste for the food at all?
