Why do black women where slippers in public? I see this frequently while shopping at the grocery store and other places. Usually it’s older black women, but just yesterday I saw a twenty-something black girl at the grocery store wearing slippers. Incidently, she was thin, not heavy, so maybe it’s not necessarily a comfort thing. I’ve seen this for over 20 years, and I’m genuinely interested in hearing your answers.
