I don’t know what to call black people. I’ve heard from some, that using the term ‘black person’ is offensive. Is it? ‘African-American’ seems presumptuous. I don’t know whether someone is Jamaican-American, African-American, or sometimes maybe even Middle-Eastern American. But, is that the better term to use? I’ve had other people tell me that they heard ‘black’ is the preferred term. I just don’t want to be offensive. Help!
