My question is for black people: When you hear someone on TV talking about a ‘black’ actor or a ‘black’ politician, and the discussion isn’t about race, do you wish they would dispense with the racial label and just refer to them as an actor or politician? Do you feel that the label differentiates notable black people from notable white people who are never referred to by their race?
