robynMemberI’m a professional clown. I get hired for children’s parties in the whole spectrum of economic status. I’ve done parties in slums, I’ve done them in $500k luxury homes. Assuming that the family has a middle class or better income, I’ve noticed that there’s a negative correlation between house and tip size. The bigger the house, the smaller the tip. Any ideas why?

ShirleyAveryParticipantI’ve heard waitresses say they get the best tips from working class people who can empathize with another worker. Some of the rich are in a whole other world with no idea how the rest of us live. Also, I understand that most charitable contributions (apart from Bill Gates) come from poor & middle class folks. What consoles me is that what goes around comes around. Just Curious
