Elizabeth25314ParticipantWhy do members of some Christian churches seem to not care when informed their church performs gay weddings? Are these people aware that this practice is supposed to be against their faith, or do they not care?

TimboParticipantIf there are gay weddings being performed in the same physical structure as where Christians worship, then it’s no big deal. Besides, God doesn’t recognize marriage between two people of the same sex. But, to get back to the original comment: the ‘Church’ is literally the group of Christians, not the location where they worship. However, if the person performing the marriage is ‘supposed’ to be a Christian, well, that IS a big deal. Homosexuality is one of those ‘no-brainer’ sins covered throughout the Old and New Testament. Most every religious group that considers themselves ‘Christian’ knows and understands that God created man for woman and woman for man – period. The Bible states that homosexuality is an abomination to God – a detestable sin. We are to love everyone, including those who practice homosexuality, though they are living in sin. Homosexuals cannot be Christians by any stretch of the imagination until they give up their sin.
