Anna R.ParticipantI’m a heterosexual woman serving as best man at a same-sex (male) wedding. Should I throw a bachelor party, and if so, how should I go about it?

Doug25622ParticipantBecause gay commitment ceremonies are a relatively new phenomenon, there is no right answer. Talk to the couple. It may be they won’t want a bachelor party (separately or combined), or perhaps they would like one, kind of like a rehearsal dinner. Above all, respect their choices. My husband of six years and I have never had a ceremony and don’t plan to, but I know we would feel uncomfortable at your typical everybody-get-drunk-and-bring-on-the-strippers bachelor party.
