M.C.ParticipantI am in a relationship with a Filipino male and was wondering if anyone in a relationship like mine has come across any significant cultural differences, whether they be in dating or marriage.

David L.ParticipantIt depends. Is he Filipino-Canadian, or a person born and raised in the Phillippines? I’m Chinese, but raised totally American. So I have no racial/cultural differences from white Americans (although people still persist in believing so). Also, even if you might have some differences with him, I don’t see why that should stop you. There are plenty of interracial couples out there, black/white, white/Hispanic, that are together, regardless of “cultural differences.”
