In my personal experience i have been surprised to see that many people expect me to be stupid. I mean I have many different colleges calling me and sending me letter telling me to apply to their school. By my junior year of high school i already had over 10,000 dollars in scholarships. Yet with all this everytime i say something or answer a question that requires thought, people are taken back and surprised. My AP English teacher even came up to me and told me that ‘I’m smarter then i look’. Can somebody tell me why this is. Why is it that younger black males are expected to be less intelligent then others.
