I have a male friend that I met during my commute to work. He is white & originally is from Africa. He told me he is born there. This brought up an interesting question between us. I asked what race he considered himself. He said he’s an African American since his native country is Africa & also because he currectly resides in the U.S. I’m just curious: would black African Americans consider him to be an African American just like they are?
