21ParticipantI don’t understand polytheism. Isn’t the existence of more than one God impossible from a logical point of view? Can educated people actually be sincere polytheists?

JackMemberI am a polytheist. You said that polytheism is illogical… but how is it any less logical than monotheism is? Both involve putting faith in something you cannot see, feel, or sense with your earthly body. Neither is really ‘better’ than the other as far as this goes, because monotheists generally believe in one all-powerful god, and polytheists believe in many gods who have power over specific things but not everything. It depends on whether you see the nature of god/s as being all-powerful or semi-powerful, an all-powerful god doesn’t need ‘buddies,’ a god that can’t do everything himself does.
