Does having acne make an individual less likely to be selected for a job or professional career?

Yep, it’s true. Society has a real problem with blemished skin. I was lucky enough to have an acne-free adolescence, but this summer I got a fairly hideous-looking skin infection on my face. I was working in a gift shop and I discovered that people would openly point and stare at me – adults as well as children. Eventually I asked my boss if he wanted me to go home in case I was putting people off. He said no, but I really learned the hard way what a horrible attitude some people have to disfigurement.
