I don’t think Disney would do an all-black animated movie because too many whites wouldn’t care to see it. My non-Jewish friends avoid shows/movies about Jewish themes because they can’t relate to the storyline or it just doesn’t interest them. I suspect many whites would avoid an all-black story as well. However, they can add some black characters to their movies but then what kind of story would it be? Until recently the only time blacks and whites mixed was in unpleasant and distasteful situations. Not Disney material. But you’re right that they can take an African legend and make a beautiful and interesting movie. I wonder if Mulan wasn’t as big a hit as it could have been because the storyline was Chinese.
