There are many endocrine disorders and the like that can add hundreds of pounds of higher weight. Many fat people simply have lower metabolisms. I am diagnosed with two endocrine diseases, one severe. I lived life at a normal large size for many years. I was disabled by these diseases partially because they made my weight so high. I was in the very high weight categories. I have lost more than 150 lbs and still have a ways to go, but I had to wait for decent medical and hormonal treatment to make this possible. There are many things people do not realize about fat people. Most do not overeat. I have fat relatives who do tons of movement and exercise and eat like thin people.
