You say that 40 years is not a lot of time to change a person’s mind. I hardly think that blacks blame racism on whites who are over 40 exclusively, do you? You say that until the ’60s it was legal to discriminate against blacks. What is Affirmative Action? It is the legalized (and encouraged) discrimination of better-qualified whites. And it has been in existence since 1972. Yet blacks still have a hard time competing. You say that poor kids have to work to help their parents. First, if you can’t afford a kid, don’t have one. Secondly, I did just that – I worked from early on to help my widowed father pay bills. I was still able to graduate high school, get a cum laude B.S. and start a rewarding career. Effort is the key, and I believe genetics plays a very important part as well. It’s a fact that black schools get more money per student than white schools. Where’s the racism now? Black women make more than white women. Reverse racism? To conclude, the racism argument has failed every time it’s been brought up, so stop making excuses.
