In response to your question, I have experienced the other side of the same phenomenon in that the majority of men hitting on me are black, while I, on the other hand, am pale skinned and white! I have no idea why this is and I would really like to know. If I am at a bar or a club, or even a restaurant, all types of men may look, but mostly and often, black males come up and start flirting with me, even if my boyfriend is with me. Friends have commented on this situation, and still, I have no reason for why this happens. Perhaps, there is a certain fad or understanding within some part of the black male community that explains this situation? I live in a racially integrated, but mostly white population, and, although I am flattered by the attention and I am not biased by any means, I am simply quite confused as to why this occurs.
