When someone uses a pejorative word to hurt you sometimes you respond by turning that word around and making it a source of pride. Some feminists did this with the word ‘bitch’ which some now wear as a badge of honor. It seems to make sense for only those who bear the cross of such words to be the only ones to employ this strategy of ‘war of words’
