No one really knows why there is a higher incidence of MS in women. I have been diagnosed with MS for about 13 years. It’s considered an Auto-Immune Disease, and women seem to get more Auto-Immune Diseases than men. There are other strange facts that surround MS: Most of those diagnosed are between 20 and 40 (I was 22 when diagnosed). Most have lived in a warm climate and moved to a colder climate and back to the warm climate by the age of 15 (I traveled quite a bit in my youth). Most come from an upper-middle class socioeconomic bracket (I fell into that category growing up). And most MS patients are well-educated (college or more). I hope they can figure out more about what causes MS than just what so many of us have in common.
