I am slightly shorter than the average person, and most people, in public and in private, give me as much space as they would give anyone else. But taller-than-average people, and those who just don’t pay much attention, like kids, tend to plow right into me. It’s annoying, like they don’t think others are worthy of consideration. I was thinking though, maybe sitting in your scooter puts you just a little bit out of normal sight lines? If you are shorter in your scooter than standing up, you may be noticing some people’s inability to notice what’s not right in front of their noses.
