There is a difference between killing animals for no reason and killing them for food. I think killing animals just to kill them and leave them is terrible. People who do that have some serious issues to deal with. Many serial killers start out torturing and killing animals ‘for pleasure.’ On the other hand, hunting animals for food is an entirely different story. It is a fact that carnivorous animals hunt other animals for food, and humans are carnivores. Although not all people eat meat, we are biologically designed for eating meat. Many people are uncomfortable with the idea of hunting animals for food, but are OK with buying meat in the grocery store. I do not see a fundamental difference between eating an animal that was hunted in the wild and eating an animal that was raised for slaughter and sold at the grocery store. The bottom line is that the animal died to feed someone.
