Come on…do it yourself is not necessarily done out of economics, but of pride… I’m a 20 year old college student and I take pride in doing jobs on my own, whether it be construction, carpentry, landscaping, or what, I do all of my own plumbing, lawn care, electrical wiring, carpentry, and what not. Why? Not because I’m too poor to get someone else to, but because I enjoy it, and I like to know how to do things, I have tons of respect for people who, though they can afford to pay someone to cut their lawn for them, have the self-respect and pride to get down and do it themselves. You care so much more about your property when you maintain it yourself.
