The funny thing is, whether a price is high or low is entirely relative. It depends on expectations and habit. I remember when I was a kid, $5 seemed like a fortune. People used to think it was ridiculous to pay over $2 for coffee beverages. Now with Starbucks on every corner it seems normal. The attitude becomes, “Well, that’s just what things cost.” And we often don’t question that. Believe it or not, there are some for whom paying $400 for pants just seems normal.
