In Europe this isn’t such a problem. Biracial and multicultural people are seen as exactly what they are and they are not forced to identify with either White or Black, Chinese, Spanish, etc. In Europe for the most part there are no categories for race, except for in England. People label themselves according to nationality which has nothing to do with their race, color or religion. Many Americans have a stereotype that biracial people automatically identify with the minority parent and this is false. Most biracial people across the globe in numerous survyes say they wish to identify as either biracial, multicultural and others said that race shouldn’t matter. I have noticed that many Blacks in America often dislike Biracials, because they feel that biracials don’t identify enough with the minority parent and I have this to say to them ‘Why do you care anyway?, are you in their shoes?, In my opinion it’s simply jealousy, which I’ve personally experienced from many Blacks. The NAACp can’t speak and shouldn’t speak for biracials, we should speak for oursleves and not all biracials are mixed with black and white by the way to the angry black woman above.
