First you must look at yourself and your enviroment. I graduated recently and things have totally changed for me. When I was in junior high I went to a majority white school and white guys liked me, maybe it was because I was a limited commodity I won't really know. In high school it was majority black and hispanic. Both of these races approached me and it wasn't because I was a limited commodity. I personally think It's about preference and maturity. Now I'm in college and I've been appraoched by all types and I think that's because in college guys have finally reached that level of maturity where character and not just looks is attractive. Don't forget to look at yourself though. It could be who you hang around in school and how you've acted towards certain people. Guys tend to watch for a while before thay approach you and at point if you've had a bad attitude with one black guy you might have be pegged stuck up. Or it could just be that these are seeing you only go out with white guys and feel like those are the only guys that you like. Think about it.

First of all, you are an African American. Calling yourself and American of African descent Doesn't make you any better than anyone else. Did you call it sad when in the 70s black people decided to wear african prints. No, I don't think you did and that I might say, was a fad. It is sad to relate baggy pants with a culture and people who do that are ignorant. I am only a freshman in college and I might not be as educated as you but I am little more open than you. It is a choice not a mark on our culture if someone decides to buy an escalade instead of a house. It is a choice if someone decides to wear their pants below their behind instead of at their waist. Are saying that because some people were unfortunate to grow up without a father that their mothers were unable to instill morals and values. I disagree. I've have a single parent mother and I have better values then some people I know that have both their parents living at home. As a matter of fact my mother is an ordained minister who also holds down a job and owns her home and two cars. She did this without the aid of foodstamp, welfare and without the help of my father. Did I metion that I am the youngest of seven and the seventh child to go to college. Think about it.

I'm 18 years old with a mixed heritage and it's not about denying your other heritage but for me it's becoming closer with the one I most look like. I am tall, curvacious, and brown skinned. The only thing that sets me a part from a typical black person is the fact that I have fine instead of coarse hair. So therefore I have to except what people percieve me as because yes, I was taught that if you have a little black blood in you that is what you are and that is what you must except. Above all that I excepted more by black people than white people so of course I would rather be closer to my black heritage

You sir are a racist. Maybe you didn't realize it but white people are not descedents of America but of Europe. You are as much of a foreigner as I am and I'm biracial. Maybe you forgot but white people stole this land from Native Americans they did not originate in America. Also, if you did not want black people in the west and back in Africa your ancestors should not have taken blacks from their homeland and brung them to the west. LASTLY, read a history book. A lot of the technology that you use on a day to day basis was invented by a black person. ex. the stop light.

I don't get offended because in order to know where you're going you have to know where you came from. I do get angry though to think that people could be so inhuman to another person.
