    I think reaction to public farting is more about upbringing than race. I grew up a household in which manners was stressed. My father was big on table manners, no hats in the house, and stuff like that. Any type of toilet humor was definitely a no-no. As a result, I tend to be somewhat uptight about such things. I have known both blacks and whites to react as I do, while I have known others to act if it is a big joke.
