A lot of people can't get past the visual. That's an unfortunate fact, but it's their loss, not yours. i mean what are you going to talk about after 45 minutes? But most people ask out people with whom they think they'd enjoy spending their time. how they figure that out is the trick - sometimes it's a look in the eye, sometimes the result of getting to know you in another setting - say econ class. It wouldn't stop me from asking you out, but it's not why I would ask you out, either. So, yeah, it'll keep some people from asking you out, but then they probably aren't the kind of people you'd really want to spend quality time with. and God knows life is short enough without wasting our quality time on the wrong people.

Wow - Anne, that's a pretty sad picture of local men. It's true that a lot of people just can't get past the visual, but it sounds to me that they are missing a pretty vibrant person - I mean, has your personality changed that much since your accident? I would guess not. I once had a very brief relationship with a woman who had lost her legs - we were in high school, and from different towns, so things didn't go very far or for very long. I definitely enjoyed spending time with her. Yes, it was a bit of a challenge to get two people walking/rolling along a narrow sidewalk, but she was a lot of fun, and really, I didn't notice any difference when mobility wasn't an issue, and in bed, well, between you and me, it didn't make things any less interesting - I mean, fundamentally it's about tenderness and care, and everyone's got different erogenous zones, so you just do what comes naturally. all that to say those guys in oroville are sure missing out on the opportunity to meet a fine woman.
