Does simply receiving oral sex from another boy for the first time mean I've lost my virginity?

Most people don't consider virginity lost until you have had penetrative sexual intercourse, so... you are still a virgin, in my book, anyway.

Technically you're still a virgin. But for argument's sake, sex is sex. It takes many forms - manual, oral, penetration... Too many kids are engaging in oral sex because they don't consider it sex. There are very real dangers associated with oral sex. and it's not something to be taken lightly.

No, you have not lost your virginity, but you have lost your innocence. I'm sorry.

There's no official answer for this. The scene with Holden and Alyssa on the swingset in the movie "Chasing Amy" describes many people's different views. Some people would say you're a virgin until your penis has experienced full heterosexual vaginal penetration, while others would say homosexual anal penetration counts (my own opinion, but still just that, an opinion). Because of societal standards, many people consider complete female oral sex to count toward the loss of virginity, but not male oral sex.

Virginity is an outdated concept meant to keep religious men in power - and since you don't appear from your profile to be religious, my hope is you won't be offended by my opinion. Here's the deal - originally, 'virginity' referred to the intactness of a woman's hymen, the membrane that stretched across her vagina and kept many infectious diseases out. The hymen is broken by penetration. However, because our hygiene has evolved, hymens are unnecessary, and some women are actually born without them now. Others (since women are actually into athletics now) tear their hymen long before they have any sort of sexual contact. Religion altered the definition to refer to sexual purity, but teenagers have further attempted to alter that again to retain its original definition of penetration (hymen breaking). However, with the modern definition of sexual 'purity,' anybody who has felt anybody else up cannot claim true 'virginity.' The altered version is garbage, also, because the hymen is no longer necessarily an issue. Virginity, therefore, is now simply a brainwashing tool, subject to personal interpretation and generally a tool for making you feel guilty about sexual pleasure. Wrapping this up - you've had the first of one particular kind of sexual experience. You haven't experienced others. You use your own words to define you and you decide whether they're really that important.

If you are thinking of the classic form of 'virginity', like a 16 year old straight, agnostic male from the U.K. thinks of it, then, NO. Losing virginity means having intercourse. Even Roman Catholics green flag oral sex.

Well sex is sex even if it is Oral, it's just another way to do it. Virginty is not being taken seriously and if you decide to have a form of sex even if it is with someone of the same sex, thats your deision. Just be careful and keep you and your partner protected, ESPECIALLY the same sex.

As far as i know oral sex is sex and although you weren't with a female or enter another person oral sex is sex. alot of females think tht they can have oral sex and it's ok. It is not ok at all.

That depends. Does it make you happy to think that you've lost your virginity? Then by all means give yourself credit! On the other hand, if it troubles you to think that you've lost it (because maybe this isn't the way you wanted to lose it), then chalk this up as something that doesn't count, and you can still look forward to losing it 'for real'.

You can have sex without an orgasm, but if you had an orgasm, you had sex.

reply to sue: how does sex make you guilty? if that is true, then i guess that we should be ashamed that we survived as a species.

well, according to the roman catholic church, he is going to hell because he is gay. so, i wouldnt be worried about your virginity if the main proponents of the idea are the ones who hate you for what you are
