I know scientific studies have been done on this. But I 'still' don't understand why women talk so damn much! And most of the time, they're talking about bulsh..! Shoes, who did what at the office, the mall, babies, clothes, make-up, celetbrities, etc. Why is it I never hear women talking about anything deep? World events, politics, science, museums, books, etc. Seems like Oriental women are more geared towards intelligent stuff than any women out here. Whenever I go to Borders, Barnes and Noble, I always see Asian women reading books and doing homework, etc. When I'm in my car, 90% of the people talking on cell phones are women. What is with all this talking?

Let me first point out that roughly half the members of Y? are women. So I would hardly say that women "never talk about anything deep." I question your usage of the word deep. Perhaps you mean superficial? If women talk as much as you say, then they are bound to talk about things in-depth. This bond of communication allows women to parse and analyze interpersonal relationships far more than the average person has ever done to politics. You have assigned very little value to personal, everyday life. If you are getting your news about politics and world events from TV, then you are probably not engaging your critical thinking skills. First off, "Oriental" is about as offensive as "colored" when it's used to describe people. Secondly, if you choose to hang with bimbos, you're going to get blather about shoes and celebrities. Go to a Mensa meeting, join a book club or sign into a chat room about politics... I've heard this complaint from so many guys only to find that they're talking about women who LOOK like teenage mall rats. Of course very young, very cute girls talk nonsense. Very young, very cute boys do the same. Mature women with educations and careers don't talk like this. It's just that too many guys like David want either little girls or subservient housewife types.
