Why do East Asians look different from other races of people who live in the same latitude. For example, Korea and Japan have similar climates to Europe, but Europeans do not have bridgeless noses, slanted eyes, etc.

Think about this for a minute: East Asians live in areas ranging from tropical jungle to frozen tundra. Since the regions they live in are so vastly different, why should anyone assume where they live affects their features? Do your or your descendants' facial features become like someone who is black if you move to Africa? Also think about this: 'race' is a MYTH. As anthropologist Ashley Montague pointed out, it is Western cultures' most DANGEROUS myth. There are no 'races' because the so-called 'races' are all far more like each other than, for example, a black bear is like a brown bear. There are only greatly mixed 'impure' ethnicities based on culture.

Their features are closer to Asians' than to Europeans'. As far as I know, I don't think race is a function of geography or climate.

Physical and genetic differences are not based on environment (climate, Latitude, etc). It is based on the genetic makup of people groups. The original members of various ethinic groups had certain charactoristics (latent and domanent genes in various catagories) which were emphasized because of the isolation of these groups from one another. Mountains, lakes, valleys and many miles separated these groups which didn't interact with each other, and over time the dominant genes in the society made each group distinctive from one another.
