That’s a loaded question if I ever heard one. I have known a lot of men – in fact as an engineer most of my coworkers are men – yet I have never noticed and ‘inate compulsion’ in them to put down anybody. I have known individual men who were jerks, just as I have known individual women who were jerks. I have never been put down by my husband, father, uncles, male cousins or heard these men put down other women in the family. Now, I have heard men griping or complaining about certain attributes of specific women or women in general, but no more so then I have heard women complaining about men.
