I don’t know why people of African origin have such full lips, other than the obvious refrences to genetic traits. I have not read about or been told of an evolutionary or adaptive purpose.I do know that such traits are not confined to them. However you should know that such physical fullness (buttocks, chests, lips, bellies) are very desirable traits among many cultures, including many Western ones. (incl. the U.S.) They symbolize youth, vitality, fertility, fitness, masculinity, femininity, etc.
