Certainly if you are a ‘Christian’, then you use your Bible to base your authority to be called a Christian. If we could get everyone to just read that Bible with an open mind…and truly ‘listen’….’hear’….we would all indeed know God intended only ONE way to him…through Christ, our mediator and bridge. Until each individual ‘Christian’ reads and studies God’s word and has the faith to put that belief into practice, we’ll never be unified totally. When Paul, the missionary, established THE church…the church of Christ, it was truly THE church…the ONLY church as was intended from day one. When Christians, in Bible times, came to a new town and wanted to worship, they didn’t say, Where does the Methodist or the Baptist or the ‘whatever you wanna call it’ meet? They said ‘Where do the Christians meet’?…the true church of Christ? I would love to believe one day that would happen and we could be united. I’ll keep praying about it and ask you to do the same. As an afterthought, know I have many, many friends that are part of the denominational world. I love them dearly.
