I’m sure it didn’t create ‘furor’ among the black community, specifically, because the crime had nothing to do with race. If it were a group of white youths, the crime could have been race-motivated, and then it would make sense for the black community to band together. Something like this should upset all races because it’s a crime against humanity, not blacks.
