Do conservatives hate minorities more than liberals do? I grew up in New York City, where everyone is pretty liberal. I just started college in suburban Pennsylvania, with a good number of conservatives. Is it just me, or are conservatives a bit hostile towards minorities? We had a liberal v. conservative discussion in my Sociology class and I was called a traitor to this country by a fellow classmate b/c I didn’t support the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Also, whenever I try to engage in a conversation with a conservative, they don’t look me in the eyes, they tend to keep the conversation short, then walk away. This is not the case when I talk to more liberal students. And people say New Yorkers are the lesser friendly people too. Are the conservatives on campus mad at me b/c of my people and affimative action? To what extent are conservatives against affirmative action that they start hating all minorities?
