john29291ParticipantI wonder if whites and blacks will EVER see eye to eye. To me it seems that behavior by many blacks is self limiting in terms of social acceptance. This question is for black people. Why do you jaywalk slowly in front of my car? Why do you walk two or three abreast, forcing me off the sidewalk? Why do you tell me ‘If I was white you wouldn’t……..’? Why do you practice jury nullification purely on racial circumstance? Why do you lambaste black leaders who have broken rank and admitted there are problems that are self created? Why do you accuse us of stealing your culture when we listen to your music and wear your fashions? Why do you tell us we cannot ever understand your music? Why do you do everything possible to seperate yourselves from the rest of society, then demand to be a part of? I am referring to being different to be different. We cannot spell your names, and you are irritated at us when we ask the spelling. Why is there so much denial of these things? How can I be expected to accept you when these behaviors are so unacceptable to the majority of society? Is it right to demand what is not earned?
