I am Latino and would be considered an evangelical Christian. The church I go to is quite a bit larger than average and is almost 100% Latino (except for Mike, who is ethnically Jewish). And there are far more evangelical Christians in the ‘3rd world’ than in the West. So I’m wondering why everyone seems suprised that I am both Latino and evangelical. I also notice that folks tend to overlook the countless number of African American Christians, as if they’re a seperate faith from ‘WASPs.’
