Especially as of late, my friends and I, all professional, attractive, well traveled, black women have been approached by increasing numbers of white men. However, we are reluctant to take the step into a romantic relationship, as we have all been brought up to believe that white men consider black women more of a ‘curiosity’ than legitimate love interests, and that they widely believe black women to be sexually exotic and oversexed. To the white male readers: what is your take on this? To the black female readers: what has been your experience as relates to this?
