I KNOW that all people are created equal and that no one is more human than anyone else but I still may never overcome my sense of white guilt. I cannot help but give black people the benefit of the doubt, act extra politely in their company and even feel sorry when I know fully well that that is condescention. Growing up in the ’70’s race was a hot topic which was beaten over our heads. What can I do to shake this feeling that won’t go away?
