Just wondering... is there a different perception of society (and life experiences) when it comes to say, a black person in the US who's a descendant of slaves and a black person who might be a 1st generation American with parents from Kenya? (Or a black person in the US who's from the Caribbean, the UK, etc...you know what I mean.) Does one group hold a stigma that the other does not, and does one group look down or look up to the other, for any reason and in any way? Is there a lack of kinship, or a yearning for one, since their origins of coming to this country are so different?
